Founded by healthcare professional Ewelina Wiesner in 2021, Daycation (previously the Willows) has gone from strength to strength in providing a quality service of respite care. Ewelina decided last year to take her 20+ years of care experience, and create a safe, social environment for Our Elderly community.

Ewelina’s main goal was to create a hub that provides fun and engaging activities such as arts and crafts, baking, singing/dancing, gardening, as well as a 2 course meal and important social time. All of which, gives carers and families respite.

With the idea in mind back in early 2021, Ewelina needed a place to host her brilliant idea, and it didn’t take long before just chose to place the centre in the heart of Queen Camel. In 2023, following a series of floods. Daycation moved, this time, to Gillingham. Next came acquiring a handful of her best carers to run the centre efficiently; In walks Kate, Daycation’s ever confident and talented manager that keeps all in check. Alongside Kate came Abbie, and then Anne, both with years of experience working in specialist care fields. The three now successfully run the centre hand-in-hand, combining all their knowledge and experience to create a social, friendly, safe environment for you!
